Anticipation is growing in the Williams home as they prepare to welcome
their first bundle of blessings...a bouncing baby boy that will be named
Jonathan Tate, after his grandfathers.
Well into her third trimester, at 35 weeks along, mom-to-be, Sam, has had a somewhat easy pregnancy, once she got past that pesky morning sickness. She informed me that she has not had any unusual cravings and that sleeping has become her new favorite past-time! Sam's husband (dad-to-be) Sklyar has been super supportive and sweet throughout Sam's pregnancy. Sams says that Skylar rubs her back without even being asked...anytime Sam looks uncomfortable, he just immediately starts massaging her back. Isn't that just the sweetest!! Like most moms in their final trimester, she is counting down the days until little Jonathan is lovingly welcomed into the world!
Sam decided to capture her pregnancy with a photo shoot as her husband and dad-to-be, Skylar, will be deploying before baby Jonathan arrives. (Both mom and dad proudly serve in the US Army National Guard.) With that in mind throughout the session, I made sure to incorporate some special mementos, such as dad's dog tags, and other pieces from his military uniform to give their session a truly personal touch. The photos from this session are something that Skylar can take with him and they can both treasure until he returns from deployment.
I recently asked Sam what was her favorite picture from this shoot...and she replied, "The one where my husband was kissing my stomach and I was looking down at him. It was just such a tender picture and I think it captured all the love between us. "
You are already so loved by so many little one!!

I am truly blessed to have wonderful friends in my life like Danielle and Jon! They are two of the Godliest, fun-loving and caring people that you will ever meet. So, want to know how they met?
In 2014, Danielle moved to Gainesville, GA to pursue her Bachelors of Health Science at Brenau University. Her high school tennis coach had suggested that she check out Chicopee Baptist Church after her move.
Danielle walked into Chicopee on her first Sunday in Gainesville, right into the middle of their annual Homecoming service which, unbeknownst to her, had started a half hour earlier. Completely embarrassed, she rushed home immediately following the service without speaking to anyone. Danielle decided to return the next Sunday (on time) where Casey, the youth pastor at the time, caught her as she was getting ready to leave and invited her to the youth service that Wednesday evening.
Danielle accompanied by her college roommate entered the youth sanctuary on Wednesday evening and found a seat. Several college students came up and introduced themselves, and the last of which was Jon. He had just finished a football game with some of the youth and was drenched in sweat. Wearing gym shorts and a t-shirt with cut-off sleeves...not quite what one might expect to find in a church service. But there was something that made him stand out~like something out of a fairy-tale when a princess slowly falls in love but doesn’t understand quite what draws her to her prince.
Several weeks later, Jon was playing the bass guitar in the band on Sunday morning, and Danielle was singing in the choir when Jon’s guitar strap broke. He caught his guitar before it hit the ground, composed himself, and continued playing. After service, Danielle found him, tapped him on the arm, and said, “Good catch.” Jon looked completely surprised that she was talking to him and choked out the words, “Do you want lunch?”
As they walked outside, Danielle asked if she could ride with him. (She didn’t know the area very well.) A look of horror swept across his face as he agreed. He opened the passenger door of his SUV and began to shovel all of his school books and papers into the backseat. They climbed into his vehicle, and, the entire way to 2 Dog cafe, the SUV refused to get out of second gear. It was both terrifying and hilarious all at the same time.
Lunch went incredibly well, and Jon and Danielle laughed the entire time. When they got back to the church, Jon invited Danielle to a Bible study that evening at his childhood church. She eagerly agreed, and he ever so smoothly asked for her number so he could "give her directions" of course.
Every day since has only gotten sweeter, filled with more love and laughter. Now, they are ready to begin their happily ever after.
Meet the beautiful Self Sisters...JayeAnna (16) & Elyza "EE"(15). It has been my privilege to watch these girls grow into strong godly young women over the years. Both girls are home-schooled and are involved in a variety of extra-curricular activities like: English Country Dance, American Heritage Girls, Chicopee Baptist Church Youth Group, Chicopee Baptist Church Choir, and South Hall Homeschool Co-Op.
A sister is both your mirror - and your opposite. Elizabeth Fishel
This quote could not be more true for these sisters as JayeAnna is friendly, kindhearted, and compassionate. Outside of school her interest are singing, Scripture Art, hanging out with her friends and photography (a girl after my own heart). JayeAnna is slated to graduate in 2020 after which she hopes to go to college, but is praying for God's direction for her life.
Then we have Elyza or as most people call her "EE" who is kind, compassionate, and creative. EE enjoys listening to music, reading, drawing, exploring the world of engineering and playing volleyball. EE will graduate in 2021 and plans to pursue a degree in either engineering or music...as long as it is God's will for her life.
For there is no friend like a sister in calm or stormy weather; To cheer one on the tedious way, to fetch one if one goes astray, to lift one if one totters down, to strengthen whilst one stands.
What a privilege it was to be able to capture these images...I am truly blessed to know the both of you (and your family). Keep being YOU!!
We meet again, lovely blog readers!
I recently photographed my son Nathaniel and his fiance, Emileigh, at Cherokee Bluffs Park in North Georgia. This soon-to-be wedded couple will be getting married on October 13, 2018. I am so overjoyed to be able to capture this special milestone in their lives!!
Emileigh and Nathaniel first met while attending North Murray High School, she was a freshmen and he was a sophomore. Nathaniel waited an entire week before talking to Emiliegh after he first saw her in the halls; then when he finally approached her, he asked her if she wanted to touch his silky workout shirt (lol) ---he was so nervous and didn't know what else to say! But I guess it worked because these two have been practically inseparable since...that was almost five years ago.
After graduation Nathaniel joined the Army National Guard and works in construction; Emileigh is wonderful stay at home mom to their now two year old son Nicholas. These two have such a strong connection that it as if they are one! Their relationship is special because they constantly strive to make each other better. Emileigh encourages Nathaniel to be more patient and compassionate; while Nathaniel helps Emileigh to come out of her shell and be more sociable particularly in groups.
From their first kiss they were hooked and there was no turning back. These two knew that they were destined to be together and nothing could keep them apart...it was just a matter of when and how to purpose. So after months of preparation and planning, Nathaniel first went to Emileigh's parents to ask for their blessing to marry their daughter (a sign of a true gentleman), once receiving their blessing Nathaniel waited till her birthday and after spending a perfect day of relaxing and cuddling with each other Nathaniel surprised Emileigh by popping the question with a beautiful sterling silver ring with a square cut center diamond surrounded by a number of small diamonds....and of course she said Y-E-S!
Be still my heart...aren't they just the sweetest couple ever?
Their wedding date is set for October 13, 2018. The details are just falling into place for this couples glorious event. The beautiful fall ceremony and reception will take place in a rustic chic farmhouse next to a lake...how idyllic! Make no mistake these two are super excited about their wedding day and all the details, but they are more excited to spend the rest of their lives together!
It is more than obvious that this couple is head-over-heels in love with each other and that's the kind of love that will last a lifetime!!

Today I'd like you to meet Roselyn, my absolutely beautiful granddaughter. This little princess made her arrival into this world on February 22nd at 6:38 am (CST); weighing in at a healthy 7 pounds 12 ounces and measuring 19 3/4" long. Even though sweet Roselyn has only been on this Earth for a short time, she has already filled our hearts with so much love and joy!!
I think we can all agree that everything about her--from those sweet little cheeks, that beautiful smile. all the way to her tiny toes--should earn her a spot on the cover of every baby magazine in the nation! Seriously, I'm practically melting from cuteness overload!
I can’t wait to see how baby Roselyn grows and changes over the next couple of months! I am so excited to shoot all of her "adorableness" in a few months with her cousins and the rest of our family!
I recently photographed Giana & Billy in downtown Savannah for their surprise proposal/engagement. This newly engaged couple has yet to set a date for their big day...but when they do, you will be the first to know!
Since Giana is a fashion model it was very easy for Billy to arrange a to be at her recent photo shoot so that he could surprise her by "popping the question" in the middle of her fashion shoot. This also allowed me to be there, without raising suspicion, to capture every exciting, joyous emotion!! Isn't that the sweetest thing ever?
Future wedding details aside, let's get to the present: Giana & Billy's engagement session! These two are real naturals in front of the camera. Their good looks, fabulous outfit choices, a sublime location and their genuine love for each other made this photo shoot one to remember!
May these two live happily ever after!
WHAT IS IT?
There’s nothing better than serving my clients to the best of my ability and providing them images that they will cherish for years to come. I love it when clients tell me how much they love their images from their portrait session, but I love it even more when they tell their friends and family…
that is the highest compliment a I as a photographer can get!
I have built my business around word of mouth referrals because I want my clients coming in knowing that they can trust me! My referral program is my way of saying “Thank You!” and gives you a little something extra for being such amazing supporters of what I do!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
It’s quite simple! Refer me a NEW client and receive $20 towards your next session with me (applicable toward session fee or print credit). Stack up your referrals to earn a free session and/or print products! The best part is there is no limit to how many clients you can refer. You get rewarded every single time!
What a pleasure it was to photograph The Cronier Family. I was really
looking forward to this shoot and am so pleased with how it turned out!
Here are some of my favorites from the day. What do you think?
I had an amazing time getting to know each of them
better and becoming more familiar with each of their personalities...
they are an awesome family and a joy to be around!!!
I love it when every little detail falls into place. That happened at my shoot with Ashleigh, (a talented model and an aspiring actress), during her recent portrait session. Here is a glimpse of what happened in the studio....
